Nearshore engineering · Guadalajara, Mexico
A senior engineer from Guadalajara, on your workday
One dedicated senior engineer, with a tech lead behind them, working inside your repo, your stand-up and your tools. Rates published, no recruiting fee, start in weeks instead of months. We cover the full US workday from Guadalajara, Mexico.
Solo: 1 senior engineer + 10% tech lead: $11,500/mo
Nearshore software development in Mexico means a senior engineer who works your US business hours, joins your meetings live and bills in US dollars at a published rate, without the recruiting cycle, benefits load or payroll of a local hire. Our Solo plan is one dedicated senior engineer plus a tech lead's oversight for $11,500 a month, with a 3-month minimum and then month to month.
When this is the right call
Typical situations (not client quotes)
- The senior role has been open for three months and the roadmap is not waiting.
- Offshore was cheap, but every question took a day to get answered.
- We do not want to manage a vendor. We want someone in the stand-up.
Hiring a senior engineer in a US metro takes months, and the cost is not the salary alone: recruiting, benefits, equipment and the risk that the hire does not work out. Offshore teams solve the cost and create a new problem, because the working day barely overlaps with yours and every decision waits overnight.
Nearshore from Mexico sits in between, but most nearshore vendors sell a bench, not a person. You talk to an account manager, the engineer changes, and the rate is a negotiation. We publish the rate and you talk to the engineer.
How the Solo plan works
You get one named senior engineer, dedicated to your product, plus a tech lead who reviews their work and steps in on architecture decisions. They work in your repository, your issue tracker and your chat, attend your stand-up live, and ship to your environments under your process. We work Miami hours, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern, so the overlap with the East Coast is the whole business day and with Texas it is complete.
We are engineers first. The platform we operate ourselves, Guiadalajara, runs on the same practices we bring to your codebase: every Guiadalajara release backs up the database before anything changes, blue/green deploys and infrastructure as code. If the role is in Miami, see the Miami page; if you are an agency reselling the work, see white-label development.

- Work inside your repo, tracker, chat and CI
- Live attendance at your stand-up and reviews
- Written weekly summary of what shipped
- US-dollar invoicing, net 15, no recruiting fee
- Replacement within the month if the fit is wrong

Questions · Nearshore engineering
What does nearshore software development cost?
Our Solo plan is $11,500 a month for one dedicated senior engineer with tech lead oversight; hourly work is $45 to $90 depending on seniority. Both are published, so there is no negotiation and no recruiting fee.
Is Guadalajara on US time?
Guadalajara is on Central Standard Time all year. Guadalajara is 2 hours behind Miami until November 1, 2026, and 1 hour behind from then until mid-March; against Texas the working day lines up completely. We schedule around your calendar, not ours.
Do we talk to the engineer or to an account manager?
To the engineer, every day, in your own chat and stand-up. The tech lead is there for reviews and escalation, not as a layer between you and the work.
Who owns the code?
Everything is written in your repository under your accounts; code and IP ownership are set out in writing in the proposal and the contract.
What if the engineer is not a fit?
You interview before signing, and you can start with an optional two-week pilot ($5,500, credited to the first month if you continue); if the fit is wrong, you stop there.
How is this different from offshore staff augmentation?
Working hours and seniority. Offshore teams work while you sleep; our engineer is in your meetings live. And we send a senior engineer with a tech lead behind them, not a junior bench. The comparison page lays out cost, hours and risk side by side.
Can you start with a project instead of a monthly plan?
Yes. A fixed-scope custom software project or a one-week architecture review are both common first steps before a dedicated engineer.

Need a senior engineer next month, not next quarter?
