Freight forwarders and NVOCCs · Miami and South Florida

A bilingual customer portal on top of the forwarding system you already run

Your shippers in Bogotá, Santo Domingo and Guatemala City ask “where is my cargo?” on WhatsApp, and your team answers from three screens. We build one bilingual portal on top of the system you already run: quotes, status, documents and payments, with updates pushed to the customer instead of pulled out of your staff.

Architecture review (1 week): $2,500

A customer portal for freight forwarders gives shippers one place to request quotes, follow shipments, download documents and pay, in English and Spanish, with status read from your operating system instead of retyped by staff. We build it on top of the forwarding system you already run, which stays the source of truth, starting with a fixed-price review.

What we typically see at Miami forwarders

Typical situations (not client quotes)

  • Half my customer service day is answering “where is my cargo?” for shipments that are exactly where the system says they are.
  • Customers track in three places: our forwarding system, the carrier's site and a tracking link on another domain. None of them agree.
  • Quotes live in email threads. When the rate changes because of a new tariff, nobody can find the last version.

The status exists. It is in your forwarding system, updated by your operations team. The problem is that your customers can only get it by asking a person, in the language they prefer, at the moment they are worried. So the same question arrives by WhatsApp, email and phone, and your best people spend their day as a lookup service.

Most forwarding systems ship with a customer-facing module, and for a forwarder with a hundred customers it is enough. For a Miami forwarder consolidating for Latin America, with thousands of consignees who speak Spanish, pay in two currencies and expect a message on their phone when the container clears, the generic module is where the complaints start.

What we build

A bilingual customer portal and notification layer over your existing system. Your operations team keeps working in Magaya, CargoWise or whatever you run today; the portal reads shipments, milestones and documents through the system's API or scheduled exports, and shows them to the customer under your brand. When a milestone changes, the customer gets a WhatsApp or email message in their language, with the document attached when there is one.

Quotes, bookings and payments can live in the same portal, so the customer goes from “how much to Cartagena?” to a paid booking without a thread of emails. We have not shipped a logistics case yet, and we say so plainly; our closest proof is a bilingual quote-to-payment flow that charges in two currencies, and the real-time messaging we run inside our own platform. That is why we start with a review, not a pitch. If you would be our first forwarder case, we are open to discussing pilot terms in exchange for a case we can publish.

  • Bilingual customer portal under your brand (English and Spanish)
  • Shipment status and milestones read from your forwarding system
  • Document center: bills of lading, invoices, customs documents, downloadable by the customer
  • WhatsApp and email notifications on milestone changes
  • Quote requests and online payment in USD, with local-currency display
  • Integration through the system's API or exports; your system stays the source of truth
  • Pilot with a handful of customers before the full rollout

No logistics case yet. What we can show: a bilingual quote-to-payment flow that charges in USD and MXN and never loses a payment, in production for a client, plus the messaging and notification layer of the platform we operate ourselves, built and in testing.

  • no PayPal charge is ever left without its booking: the booking is saved before the charge and an automatic reconciliation closes the gaps — Source: Client case, published with permission, checked October 16, 2026

Questions · Forwarder customer portal (Miami)

Can you integrate with Magaya, CargoWise or our system?

We integrate through whatever your version and license expose (API or scheduled exports), read-only at first, and the review confirms it before any price. We do not promise an integration before we have seen the system.

Does the portal replace our forwarding system?

No. Your operations team keeps working where it works today. The portal is a customer-facing layer that reads from that system and keeps it as the source of truth.

Can customers get updates on WhatsApp?

Yes, through the WhatsApp Business API, with opt-in. Milestone changes trigger a message in the customer's language; documents can be attached when the milestone produces one.

Is the portal in Spanish and English?

Yes, every screen and every notification. We are native Spanish speakers, so the Spanish is written, not translated.

Can customers pay in the portal?

Yes, in US dollars through a card processor or PayPal, with the amount also shown in the customer's local currency. The booking is saved before the charge, so no payment is ever left without its record.

How long until customers can use it?

We estimate eight to twelve weeks from the review: one week of review, one of scoping, six to eight of build, then a short pilot. The plan is in the fixed-price proposal.

What hours do you work?

The full South Florida business day: we work Miami hours, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern.

How do we pay for the review?

Up front, in US dollars, by wire transfer. You contract with our Mexican company; its legal name and tax ID go on the invoice, and we provide a W-8BEN-E on request.

How many “where is my cargo?” messages did your team answer this week?

Start with a one-week review. You get a written report and a fixed price whether or not you hire us for the build.
